Arbitrations under the Rules of the
Arbitration Institute / Rules for Expedited
Arbitration
The Arbitration Institute charges a registration
fee for the request for arbitration, as well as for any
counterclaims
or set-off claims that are presented.
The registration fee is determined on the basis of the amount in dispute, i.e. the total
value of the claimant’s claims and the respondent’s counterclaims and
set-off
claims, respectively (capital + any interest). Legal expenses are not
included.
In the case of claims for declaratory relief, the value of the claims
shall
also be indicated. Failing this, the Arbitration Institute shall assess
the
value of the declaratory claims.
For purposes of determining the registration fee, any
interest on the capital amount of the claim shall be calculated until
the date
of the request or answer, whichever applies. The registration fee is
not subject to VAT.
